I don’t really have an opinion on the Scotland Pixiv design, since

1. I haven’t payed much attention to it
2. I’m not very familiar with Scotland’s history

But it seems so widely used, it can be confused with canon.

I’d think it’d be great to see more designs for Scotland, along with some other non-canon characters!

But I realize that not everyone’s an amazing artist, or willing to put that much time and effort into coming up with a complete design, which is a shame.

Ok rant time :

Firstly I am a Scotland rper who does not follow the traditional pixiv design because to me he just looks like a re-coloured England and i’d rather use that tiny sketch Hidekaz has posted in his blog as my characters design (His personality is very close to what I already had so I never felt the need to change it). So it feels very nice to be part of what seems to the submitter as a very small minority.

Secondly as I rant about so many times : WHY IS THE DESIGN MORE OF AN ISSUE WITH FANDOM THAN THE JUST AS OVERUSED AND VERY OFFENSIVE VIOLENT RAPIST PERSONALITY? I put this in caps because as a Scot in real life i’m TIRED of seeing people be more concerned about the design of my country than the fact most people seem to believe that Scotland just wants to rape the daylight out of England. While i’m not a big fan of the design as i’ve stated i’d rather see it than any Scotland OC just become some character that may as well be a dildo.

Lastly, this one is much milder than the above but as stated by the blog owner many people aren’t great artists so as long as people get the personality right I don’t see the problem with people using the design for their own character.

I’m sorry I just felt the need to say something to this.
